Protocol for the selection of health-based reference values

The determination of health-based toxicological reference values is a complex work carried out by major (international) agencies (e.g. WHO, ATSDR, US EPA) on the basis of available epidemiological studies and/or animal studies. Striving for increased transparency and efficiency, a protocol is developed for a more systematic and standardized selection of the most appropiate health-based reference value.
